Jean-Marc Eustache, Chairman of the Board and President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Denis Jacob to the newly created position in the parent company of Senior Vice-President, Air Transportation; and the appointment of Allen B. Graham to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Transat. The appointments are effective May 1, 2002.
In his new responsibilities, Denis Jacob will supervise the group's development activities in the airline sector. Mr. Jacob has been a member of the Air Transat team since 1989. Prior to his appointment, he held various positions at Air Transat including Vice-President, Planning and Sales Development, Executive Vice-President, and-since April 2000-President and Chief Executive Officer.
Allen B. Graham has more than thirty years of experience in the airline industry. While with Air Transat, since April 2000 he has been Executive Vice-President, Operations and Maintenance and Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Air Transat, Mr. Graham was President and Chief Operating Officer at Royal Aviation Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer at AirBC Ltd., and he has held management positions at Air Canada."
With this new structure, Transat will be more able to actively co-ordinate its airline activities with those of tour operators, while maintaining the priorities of safety, security, and effectiveness," stated Mr. Eustache.
