Montreal, December 23, 2024 Air Transat, voted 2024 World's Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax, inaugurates its seasonal flights to Tulum, with three weekly departures from Montreal and one from Quebec City, from December to April. With an already established presence in Acapulco, Cancún, Cozumel, and Puerto Vallarta, the airline is expanding its offerings to southern Mexico, a popular region for travel enthusiasts.

“We are excited to connect Tulum from Montreal and Quebec City, enhancing our winter flight program while offering our clients the warm, Quebec-style flying experience recognized for over 37 years. In addition, those looking for a turnkey solution can count on our Transat all-inclusive packages, designed to simplify every step of the trip and make it even more enjoyable,” said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer of Transat.

Flight TS340 - the first to connect Montreal to Tulum's Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport - took off on December 19, followed by TS620 from Quebec City on December 21.

“ADM Aéroports de Montréal is very pleased to welcome this route to Tulum, newly offered by our partner Air Transat. It is an additional gateway to the white sandy beaches, magnificent landscapes and the Caribbean Sea,” mentioned Karl Brochu, Vice President, Airport Operation and Air Services Development of Aéroports de Montréal. “It is the diversity of the offer that makes the network of YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport so rich, and we are happy to support Air Transat in expanding its services to passengers.”

“We are delighted with this new addition to Air Transat’s destinations from Quebec City. As we continue to offer more options to travellers in the Greater Quebec City area, we are confident that the airline's winter schedule will appeal to those seeking warmth and sunshine. We applaud Air Transat's commitment to offering our passengers a wide range of non-stop flights to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Florida, Cuba and even Paris throughout the winter,” added Stéphane Poirier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB).
