Montreal, October 28, 2014 — Air Transat was named airline of the year at the second Gala des Trophées Uni-Vers, organized by the Association des Agents de Voyages du Québec at the Salon International Tourisme Voyages in Montreal. This prize is of particular importance, as it was awarded based on consumer votes.
“We are always very proud of the awards we receive, but recognition from consumers is especially valuable and symbolic for employees,” stated Jean-François Lemay, General Manager, Air Transat. “All our teams are trained to provide the best inflight experience to passengers. It is with pleasure that we accept this prize, which shows the quality of the services offered on board Air Transat.”
This reward comes after Air Transat was named Best North American Leisure Airline for the third consecutive year, at the Skytrax World Airline Awards in July 2014.
Two TDC agencies were also honoured by their peers at the Gala des Trophées Uni-Vers. Inter Voyage Rimouski won the trophy for retail agency of the year, while Yoko Bissonnette from Voyage Océane in La Prairie was named travel agent of the year.
