Montreal, July 15, 2014 — The launch of TMR Holidays’ 2014–15 product line has a decidedly Cuban flavour: as of November 1, 2014, the tour operator will be exclusively selling packages to the Caribbean island. As a result, TMR Holidays becomes a true reference, with a more comprehensive, more diversified product offering that includes ground and sea excursions, alternative accommodations such as house and apartment rentals, experiences off the beaten track like diving or fishing weeks, and livelier stays for those in a fiesta mood. In addition, the Companion program, which enhances customers’ travel experience, is now even more accessible. From now on, travellers have all the tools they need to experience a unique, captivating stay in Cuba.
TMR Holidays: Your new reference on Cuba
With its new, exclusive role, TMR Holidays has revisited its product line from top to bottom and opted for a global approach to great vacationing in Cuba. Aside from travel packages, the new brochure offers a wealth of practical information including a map of the country, distances between cities, a list of the best restaurants, descriptions of major cultural attractions, and a rundown of the best places for travellers to enjoy their favourite sports and outdoor activities.
“Our primary goal is to enhance the holiday experience for our customers,” says Louise Fecteau, Vice-President, Operations, Sales and Marketing, TMR Holidays. “By giving them all the tools they need to properly plan their trip, we hope to transform a great holiday into a truly memorable one! The new products we’re marketing this year will also help boost the enjoyment factor for travellers who choose Cuba as a destination.”
The tour operator has expanded its already wide range of hotels by 10% this year, and added other choices that will enable travellers to explore the beauty and diversity of Cuba differently. House and apartment rentals in Varadero and near Havana, a seven-night cruise around the island sailing from Havana, duo packages combining discovery vacations with beachfront stays, escorted tours, and several wedding packages (including at the legendary Casa Dupont) are just a few of TMR Holidays’ options for an out-of-the-ordinary holiday.
Exclusive experiences for sports-minded travellers
With its magnificent beaches and turquoise waters, Cuba is typically synonymous with kicking back in the warm sunshine. But the island has much more to offer sports enthusiasts. For customers with a need for action and exercise, TMR Holidays is marketing five new exclusive seven-night packages that feature horseback riding, cycling, diving, hiking and fishing. Each package includes activities every day, transportation to the activity sites, accommodations, and meals, some in all-inclusive format. An exciting invitation for thrill-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts!
Three times the fun with the Tchin Tchin program
With the all-new «Stay at one, play at 3» concept, those seeking a lively, entertaining vacation can stay in a Tchin Tchin (Fun with Friends) hotel while enjoying the services of two other hotels in the same chain. This lets holidayers mix things up and take advantage of an extremely diversified array of activities, restaurants, bars and swimming pools. It’s the perfect package for young people, groups of students and anyone who enjoys a good time!
The Companion program: A distinctive feature, now even more accessible
Created two years ago, TMR Holidays’ Companion program offers travellers who book early in any of a dozen selected hotels a host of benefits designed to enhance their vacation experience—before, during and after their trip. New this year, customers are entitled to trip cancellation protection, direct transfers to the hotel, perks during their hotel stay, and savings at the airport if they book their trip 45 days ahead of departure instead of the 60 days previously required.
The Companion program provides considerable benefits for customers while simultaneously supporting the tour operator’s business strategies. Besides promoting early bookings, the program ensures double bonuses (“2x Bonbon”) for travel consultants.
“As a key component of the TMR Holidays differentiation strategy, this program is doubly advantageous, responding perfectly to our expectations as well as those of travellers,” Ms. Fecteau concludes.
