Jean-Marc Eustache, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., announced today the appointment of Nelson Gentiletti as President of Transat Tours Canada. A subsidiary of Transat A.T. Inc., Transat Tours Canada includes the Company’s major out-going Canadian tour operators, Vacances Transat Holidays and Nolitours, as well as the commercial operations of carrier Air Transat.
"Mr. Gentiletti is a remarkable manager who’s acquired an excellent knowledge-base of the tourism industry,” said Mr. Eustache. “Since his arrival in August 2002, as Vice-President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer, then as Executive Vice-President of Transat Tours Canada in August 2004, he has played a key role within the company. We’re delighted to bolster his responsibilities so that he may continue to oversee the growth of Transat's core operations."
In this new position, Mr. Gentiletti will report to Lina De Cesare, President, Tour Operators of Transat A.T. Inc. and co-founder of the company. Ms. De Cesare will continue to concentrate on the growth of Transat’s tour operators, both in Canada and in France, while maintaining a frontline role on the development of new markets.
