Jean-Marc Eustache, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Nelson Gentiletti to the newly created position of Executive Vice-President, Transat Tours Canada (TTC), a company formed in 2003 to group tour operators Transat Holidays and Nolitour/World of Vacations and the commercial operations of airline company Air Transat. Mr. Gentiletti, who is currently Transat A.T.'s Vice-President, Finance and Administration, and Chief Financial Officer, will also remain in that function until a successor is appointed.
"During his two years as Chief Financial Officer of Transat, Mr. Gentiletti has further enhanced his remarkable managerial skills, demonstrated outstanding mastery of his responsibilities and acquired solid industry knowledge," Mr. Eustache said. "His immense competence has led me to entrust him with new responsibilities at the very core of Transat's operations.
In his new role, he will direct all of TTC's operations. This appointment is an important step in Mr. Gentiletti's career development at Transat and is a key element in the succession plan introduced to advance our people within the Company.
"Mr. Eustache continued: "Lina De Cesare, Transat's Executive Vice-President, Tour Operators, will continue to serve as President of Transat Tours Canada. She will, however, be focusing increasingly on the development of French tour operators Look Voyages and Vacances Transat (France), and will also be playing a front-line role in the development of new markets."
