Montreal, July 28, 2011
In order to expand its reach and the awareness of its flights, Air Transat has entered into an agreement with the global distribution systems (GDS) to ensure that its flying schedule is represented alongside those of other scheduled airlines, in addition to the traditional channels. The first flights to be available in the GDS are the winter 2011-12 Toronto - Montego Bay flights.
Operated by Air Transat, the flights are scheduled as follows:
Toronto › Montego Bay
- Mondays from December 19, 2011 to April 16, 2012
- Thursdays from December 22, 2011 to April 19, 2012
- Fridays from December 23, 2011 to April 20, 2012
- Saturdays from December 24, 2011 to April 21, 2012
- Sundays from December 18, 2011 to April 22, 2012
“Though our traditional distribution systems remain the main and most convenient booking tool for Canadian travel agents, we are happy to provide an additional channel for those who wish to book through the GDS. This route is the first of many more to be available in the GDS, and our extended presence on various distribution channels will contribute to our continued growth”, says Nancy Jackson, Commercial Director for Transat Tours Canada.
