New strategic partnership between Transat Distribution Canada Inc. and International Currency Exchange (ICE) Services Canada to manage The Travel Currency Exchange network

Transat Distribution Canada Inc. and International Currency Exchange (ICE) Services Canada announce a new strategic partnership to manage the Travel Currency Exchange network effective March 1st, 2012.

Transat Distribution Canada currently operates one of Canada’s largest retail foreign exchange networks under the Travel Currency Exchange brand with locations in; St. Bruno Quebec, Edmonton Alberta, Vancouver British Columbia and various cities throughout the GTA in Ontario. Transat Distribution Canada is committed to our one stop shop vision through our Club Voyages, Marlin Travel, TravelPlus and Voyages en Liberté networks.

This strategic partnership enables the Transat Distribution Canada’s travel agency network to provide an enhanced customer experience by bringing our customers unique additional value and convenience.

• Customers can visit one of our Travel Currency Exchange locations to buy or sell their foreign currency immediately. Customers that book travel with a Transat Distribution Canada agency receive additional benefits. We buy and sell over 80 different foreign currencies and stock a wide variety in various denominations at our locations to save our customers time.
• Click and Collect© - is a new and exciting concierge service whereby customers can order their currencies through one of our travel professionals, online through one of the TDC networks websites or over the phone, pick up and pay for their currency at a location of their choice at their convenience. This new tool is highly efficient and easy to navigate and makes foreign currencies all that much easier for our customers to access.
• Cash Passport™ prepaid Canadian dollar currency card available at participating locations. Just like a bank card, our customers can use their Cash Passport at most ATMs or millions of retailers worldwide where Visa is accepted. The card is PIN and signature protected and not linked to a bank account. The card is also reloadable for either the same trip or future trips. The Cash Passport is the secure and convenient way to spend abroad; all our customers need to worry about is what to spend it on!
• ICE Packs: Customers will be able to purchase ultra-convenient “ICE Packs” at particpating locations which are travel-ready pocket-sized envelopes of foreign currencies, perfect for the savvy traveler. These handy cash packages come in preset Canadian dollar amounts and include a mix of smaller denominations to make quick purchases such a taxis, café items and tips stress-free.
