As part of its recognition program and to acknowledge the performance of top travel consultants and agencies of its network, Transat Distribution Canada organized two reward trips: one from April 18 to 25 in Jamaica and the other from May 7 to 15 in France.
The trip to Jamaica rewarded the sustained efforts of the 50 agencies part of its “Bravo Club Excellence”. The winners, each accompanied by the guest of their choice, stayed at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa as well as at the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica Royal Golden. Relaxation, golf, massages, beauty care, horseback riding, rafting, excursions and many other activities were on the agenda. “Each year, the Bravo Club Excellence acknowledges and rewards the 50 agencies with the best sales records among the 450 members of the Transat Distribution Canada network across the country,” noted Yves Lalumière, Vice-President, Network.
As for the trip to France, more than 50 travel consultants, the best sellers of the network, took part in it. The trip, planned in collaboration with Atout France (formerly Maison de la France) and the Paris Île-de-France Regional Tourism Committee, included a number of unusual tours, such as a look at the inner workings of the Eiffel Tower, outstanding fine dining experiences, unforgettable discoveries at Mont Saint-Michel and in the city of Rouen, stirring moments at Juno Beach in Normandy (site of Allied landings on D-Day), a black-tie reception at Villa Strasburger in Deauville, and a host of other activities. Meanwhile, Caroline Putnoki, Director for Canada of Atout France, said: “We are delighted to partner with Canada’s largest network of travel agencies.”
As Yves Lalumière explained, acknowledgement of a job well done is very important within the Transat Distribution Canada network and it is essential to recognize the efforts and excellent results of its members. “Despite a current challenging environment for the travel industry, we felt it was important to maintain this recognition for our members” has added Mr. Lalumière.
The Transat Distribution Canada network operates two distinct brands in all major cities and towns across the country: Marlin Travel and TravelPlus. To date, the network has 201 Marlin Travel agencies, including 76 agencies owned by Transat and 25 TravelPlus agencies, of which three are owned by Transat. The network is also comprised of 36 other agencies that are affiliate members. Marlin Travel and TravelPlus are represented in Québec by Club Voyages.
