29th July, 2010

Canadian Affair is offering skiers and boarders more choice than ever this winter with the addition of nine new hotels to its winter programme.

New hotels are being introduced in Big White, Kicking Horse, Banff and Whistler.  Canadian Affair is also offering a ‘Ski As You Please Programme’ enabling skiers and boarders to ski with one lift pass at Revelstoke & Kicking Horse. They’re also offering three and four-night stays at these resorts to create a twin centre ski holiday – combining Canada’s most challenging ski resorts in one holiday.

Canadian Affair’s 2010/11 winter programme will give winter sports lovers a choice of over 50 hotels and condominiums in 11 ski resorts throughout Western Canada.

A seven night skiing holiday in Banff Lake Louise costs from £599 per person, based on seven nights accommodation in Banff, and return economy class flights from Gatwick or Manchester to Calgary, based on selected travel dates in January and February 2011.

A seven night skiing holiday in Whistler costs from £659 per person, based on seven nights accommodation in the resort, and return economy class flights from Gatwick to Vancouver, based on selected travel dates in January 2011.

There are also a range of early booking offers available until 15th November, 2010. These include the “Kids Ski Free” complimentary ski passes for children at certain resorts, “free night’s stay” deals on all our hotels, and “free days ski” offers at certain resorts. Terms and conditions apply.

Kathryn Munro, Communication & Marketing Director of Canadian Affair, says: “Record numbers of skiers and boarders travelled with us last winter season, and so we’ve expanded our programme to make sure that winter sports lovers have more choice than ever before this year.”

Canadian Affair is offering five non-stop flights a week to Western Canada throughout the winter season, with twice-weekly flights from both Gatwick and Manchester to Calgary, and a weekly service from Gatwick to Vancouver. Flights will be operated by Thomas Cook Airlines Airbus A330 aircraft with a 31-inch seat pitch, luxury leather seats, complimentary meals and seat back TV screens in Economy Class.

Passengers can upgrade to TC Premium from just £99 one way, and enjoy a range of added benefits such as dedicated check in, an extra 10kgs luggage allowance, a wider seat, 34 inch seat pitch, complimentary beverages and much more.

All customers will benefit from free ski carriage of one ski/board bag up to 10kgs in weight.

Flights to Calgary will operate on Wednesday and Saturdays, giving travellers a choice of 7, 10 or 14 day holidays, with flights to Vancouver on Thursdays. Add-on flights with Westjet from Calgary to Kelowna are also available, enabling skiers to fly closer to resorts such as Big White and Silver Star.

In addition to flights and hotels, Canadian Affair offers a wide range of winter holiday options including car rental with free upgrades on many car sizes, lift passes, ski equipment hire, and competitively priced travel insurance with winter sports cover.

Canadian Affair is also operating up to eight flights a week to Toronto this winter, with six weekly flights from Gatwick and weekly services from both Manchester and Glasgow, with additional services over the December holiday period.

A three night Toronto city break costs from just £399 per person. This includes Economy Class return flights from Gatwick to Toronto, and three nights at the Sheraton Centre (twin share, room only)
