From Mexico to Costa Rica, and plenty of places in between, choosing where to go will be the hardest part! Whether you’re a beginner or an expert diver, Transat’s destinations offer a variety of sites that’ll cater to all levels.

  • Mexico

With plenty of scuba diving locations, Mexico is a diver’s delight. Cozumel’s dreamy deep-blue cenotes are just one of the many reasons why this area is a coveted snorkelling site, while Isla Mujeres (one hour away from Cancun) is where you can snorkel alongside hundreds of whale sharks. Don’t worry, though—they won’t bite, as they are filter feeders, just like whales!

  • Cuba

Located halfway between Havana (75 kilometres away) and Varadero (70 kilometres from the Varadero airport) near the Villas Jibacoa, Cuba’s Jibacoa Beach is a snorkelling paradise. With reefs at close proximity to the beach, expect unparalleled views of colourful species such as starfish, lobster, crab and blue tang fish, among many others.

  • Costa Rica

Adventure awaits at Playa Hermosa near Liberia, a quiet and picturesque beach that is made for scuba diving and snorkelling. This Costa Rican gem boasts an array of marine species, like sergeant major fish, white sea fans and the rare white polyps, a little soft coral. Perfect for adventure buffs and off-the-beaten-track travellers!
